about

This song has been in development a little longer than Monsufariel. in my mind, the two started to belong with one another, and a narrative has developed about them. Although Monsufariel took the title, Oblivion inspired the art. The barren desert juxtaposed with fantastical cosmic imagery. The sky tears open and pours its bounty to the Earth, who receives what She will accept. Boundless Infinite Love, tangible in it's existence through Us.

lyrics

How beautiful it is
To see you bathed in Sunlight
As though you need no other raiment

now you know as well as i
that the dance has just begun
and it takes a little time
for our feet to find their way

don't think too hard about it
the strings will take us over
and possess our movements
until the dawn takes hold again

did i hear you say
we were meant to spiral with
the rising of the wind
to the sun
into ecstatic oblivion

do you mean to have me
rushing in between
every open gateway
every thought that we dream
show me all the monsters
that ever had the chance to hide
in the dark recesses
of my heart and of my mind

we will teach them how to dance
and let them become known
to the light that propels our lives
forever to our home

did i hear you say, we were meant
to spiral with the rising of the wind
to the sun, into ecstatic oblivion

how beautiful it is
to see you bathed in sunlight
as though you need no other raiment

this is my oblivion
no form may remain here

you are my oblivion
shining water through the air
